Located deep in the north woods off of the main trail are the pot holes of North Manitou Island. The holes are deep depressions in the surface of the earth, dropping a couple hundred feet in elevation. The holes, crowded with mature trees, are hard to find. They are worth the trip way back into the woods to see, but not a good place to camp.
