Constructed in 1985, the village dock services all types of boats that arrive at North Manitou Island. The dock is mainly concrete and steel grates, in an unprotected harbor. The only craft that is permanent at the dock is the ranger's boat, which is used to get around the island coasts. The dock is the first and last thing seen when taking a trip to North Manitou. | |
