NMI > Johnson Place

A well known site for those who have visited North Manitou in the past is Johnson Place. Sitting upon the west shore, this area has large clearings, mature trees, and some of the most beautiful sunsets of North Manitou. The shore has a wonderful view of South Manitou Island, the smaller of the two bear islands. This is well worth the hike and a great place to stay.
